1981 - Tenpole Tudor
1991 - The Fall (a love that started in 1986) 2001 - The Fall 2006 - The Fall and Sonic Youth share equal standing. I think that the release of Murray Street was what really made me love Sonic Youth; the sheer brilliance ofMurray Street (my favourite LP of all time) made me listen again to what I had and explore the entire back catalogue with rather more seriousness. I came to love Sister and NYC Ghosts and Flowers almost as much as I already loved Murray Street and Dirty.

typical '80s teenage shit:...I had Quiet Riot - Metal Health, Ratt - Out of the Cellar, Billy Idol - s/t, Rebel Yell, Don't Stop ep wth interview on cassette, Rush - 2112 and Moving Pictures, Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil, all The Doors titles, etc... when I was in the Columbia House tape club deal, but that was like 1983-5. |

I think I was pretty hardcore into ZZ Top in 1981 as well, now that you mention it.
