They also go well with a black hoodie.
I don't wear the cape on my bicycle. |

I've done a couple of Minnesota winters in Converse.
That sucked bigtime. Wet, frozen feet all day every day? Plus the slipping! They're OK for summer, but hardly suitable for snow and not cool-looking enough to suffer for. |

I dunno what everyone is talking about, Converse have pretty good grip. Or maybe I just have really good balance.

Those are good utilitarian boots that still look pretty tough.
I'd say you got a good deal. And have you ever pushed a car out of a snowbank in Converse? That sucks! |

Fuck that. These boots are going to fit ME like a glove and I'm going to wear them until they can't possibly be worn any longer haha.
No bastards are going to steel my booties.

Breaking in boots sucks.
Part of the reason I love my current pair so much is the fact that they were comfortable pretty much immediately. |

Thanks My favorite pair of shoes have a hole the size of my fist in them, so they're in a bag with fixing supplies waiting to be mended. Someday I'll get around to it. I told my mom that if she threw them out I would go to the dump and get them back, so she knows not to touch.

another (perhaps costlier but more effective) solution would be to take it to a shoe repair shop & see if they could replace the sole & for how much-- or at least attach something |
