Looks like it's just me & you, pantophobia. Scoring is 1 point, 2 points, 5 points, with 10 pts for picking the Super Bowl Winner for a maximum of 32 points total possible.
I was going to offer some prize(s), but since no one else is playing, fuck it... |

so the brackets stay the same even if the teams we picked in the super bowl don't even make? or do we reevaluate every week? |

cool
I'm starting to wonder if Baltimore will make it past Indy if the Colts win today. Of course, the Colts may lose today and then my conjecture is shot to shit. ...

Didn't you, like I did, just have a feeling something was going to go wrong with that snap?
Nice calls today, jenn. |

yeah, i saw it coming, but then Romo almost could have run it in himself and got really scared
i was most scared when Alexander came up limping after that first down got them out of the end zone, but he came back in so that was good and well, here's a math equation Larry Johnson 32 yds rushing = Me fucking up on the pick |

considering the way the cowboys had limped into the postseason, i had
the overwhelming vibe they would not only lose, but lose in a legendary fashion. i was watching as they lined up the attempt--19 yards!--and thinking, "this won't go through." i couldn't say WHAT would happen (block, botched snap, plain old miss) but i knew something would happen. it's the 2006 dallas cowboys. yeah, how 'bout them. romo was this close to getting fresh downs, too, when he picked up the bungled snap and ran with it. (not to mention a touchdown.) have to give seattle credit for clutch tackling/tripping. more than made up for the ennui fest that was kc vs. indy. |

It would have been very sweet to instead get a matchup with the Jets to avenge them for beating the Chargers in OT in the wildcard game a couple of seasons ago.
I'm afraid for "my" Chargers, but have hope still. Their defense pounded the Pats last year. The Giants roared forth early and Feagles is a badass (at his position), but the Eagles dominated that one for the most part. Two penalties in the third quarter that cost them a ten-point differential ended up making it really close. Akers came through as he is wont to do! Tiki played well in his farewell, but the Giants just didn't get it done. Plaxico Burress was finally was able to demonstrate what he can do to change a game if given the opportunity. Shockey lifting up Coughlin's headset was hysterical. |

Even though I picked Baltimore in the bracket, I want to declare for the record that I'm picking Indianapolis in an upset.
I'm probably putting too much stock in them playing like they did last week at home against the Chiefs, but that's what I'm going with. After all, in that game, Manning threw three interceptions for turnovers and was still able to win. The Ravens offense has more of a big play/deep threat than KC's "solid" running game (which as we know was surprisingly shut-down by the Colts last week), but overall, the Ravens O isn't any more threatening than the Chiefs', probably less so. Although the Ravens D is a proven powerhouse, I think Manning and Co. with weather the storm and probably win by a field goal on the sure foot of Vinatieri. It's too bad I picked the Ravens in my bracket. Saints/Eagles is really too close to call. It just depends on which team wants it more. I'm relying on Reid's playoff experience and that of his veteran defenders to take care of those amazing Saints. --- It's obvious enough that the Chargers have their work cut out for them even though they are playing at home. It's especially worrisome to see Chargers players all over television last week. With any execution, the Chargers D should be able to transform the unflappable Tom Brady into playing more like how people who have their doubts about San Diego are expecting Rivers to play. If, (and it's a substantial "if") the Chargers can avoid beating themselves then they should win this game by more than five points. The Bears will come together and beat the Seahawks. I'm the most sure about this particular game. |

You all should've bet some money on the Colts like I told you to do.
--- Eagles CB Lito Sheppard is injured...man, I don't know...it's going to be a good one. --- It's 14-13 Eagles at the half. The Eagles need a solid third quarter. They had a shaky 3rd quarter performance last week against the Giants where they nearly beat themselves with penalties. --- Well, my bracket is shot to shit now. I changed it, and I should have went with the second version. The Saints are in like a cool Brees! |

What a great weekend of football!!! All the games were pretty intense and a lot of fun to watch.
I think the Ravens really shot themselves in the foot.....a fucking turnover at the one? You have to capitalize on that shit. Tom Brady= this generation's Joe Montana I'll be rooting for my third favorite team to win it all.....the Saints. Redskins in 2007......sike.
