Not sure. When the recession hit it was grim and it was a lot sites came to a grinding halt. The problem is the uncertainty which is only gonna get worse if May does get ousted tonight. i don't know how unemployment works in your country but here the recommendation (see: elizabeth warren's balanced money formula) is to keep fixed expenses below 50% of your income (cuz unemployment pays 1/2)

housing at 30% or less (hard to do in some places, e.g. ny)

the other 50 split between wants and savings (30+20)
