Milk? Possibly better technically, but they didn't have the edge of true punk rock that the Loveblobs had. So punk, in fact, that they could kick out the jams to an audience of, well, me and 2 others.

UB40 are the best reggae band ever, and "I Got You Babe" the best reggae crossover cover version.

EDIT - Bob Marley's Island albums are hugely over-rated.

I don't like Sonic Youth.

It just hit me when Rather Ripped came out, you know, 'Hey, I really don't like this band at all, do I?' Kind of like that.

superchunk are mostly very generic and bland pop punk. i love hyper enough though.

dinosaur jr's beyond is only the second most horrible album of the year just because this is the same year the stooges decided to defecate their "weirdness"

superchunk's cover of the magnetic field's "100,000 fireflies" is 594594x better than the original.

i love j mascis's hair but for the most part i am bored by dinosaur jr.

wow, how many times have you guys said you don't like dinosaur jr in this thread? I've counted something like three times each so far.

Not that I take personal offense (the Dino is one of my all-time favorite bands). I'm not the kind to assume that everyone should like or even stand the bands I enjoy.

Haven't heard that album, but I couldn't stand In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. Still can't see what all the hype was about.

ohh this is fairly unpopular, i love dinosaur's hand it over (actually, all their albums except for beyond), even if it's essentially a mascis solo album.

i'm very sick of dinosaur though.

I like a lot of Flaming Lips, yes, but not everything they've put out. Maybe you should figure out what of their discography I like are before trying to paint me as a hypocrite.
