ok then it's i think in the dvd for la collectioneusse.
the one for maud has these 2 old farts discussing pascal's wager (fun, but nerdy). the one for l'amour l'apres midi has interviews with cast & crew members of the movie cuz rohmer "is a caveman and doesn't get interviews"-- ha ha ha. not for tv shitheads maybe, but the one w/ the filmmakers is good shit!! |

MUTE WITNESS was more like a 4/10 to me. It started off really good, and the whole snuff premise was creepy, but it fell apart towards the end, feeling like a mix between WAIT UNTIL DARK and HOME ALONE. And what was with the super-happy-fun-ending? Just felt like a good movie to start, but then derailed itself.

Yeah, it felt like a really bad Brian DePalma wannabe film. Can't deny that it did held my interest throughout, though, as it was well-made and I never knew where it was going. Got worse and worse as it went on though...

The Motel - slow paced film about a kid whose mom is forcing him to work around the sleazy family motel cleaning up rooms. He enters a writing contest behind his mom's back, talks sex with a girl friend of his who works at a Chinese restaurant and befriends one of the questionable occupants of the hotel.
I enjoyed it and it was only about 80 minutes long. It did something that not many films do - it surprised me.

Adam, can you ID this film (I havent seen it, but want to):
A guy receives a knock at his door. It's some strange guy. The strange guy asks to use phone/bathroom/something. The guy lets the strange guy in. Then the strange guy seems to disappear. The guy has no idea where the strange guy went, but becomes convinced that the strange guy is hiding/living in his house. The guy goes crazy and then does the same thing to someone else. Sound familiar? |

I watched Empire Recs not that long ago. Was fun nostalgic trip, like you said. Haven't seen Airheads in ages, but I think I'd still find it funny. |

No idea, hopefully someone will figure it out though, that sounds awesome. There is a movie I remember seeing as a kid that was cool... some family movies into a house and a dude is still living there, watching them all the time... he's literally living in the walls in the house and shit. No idea what movie that was. charisma - 7/10 Weird movie. |
