Anglicanism: the Thought and Practice of the Church of England Illustrated From the Religious Literature of the Seventeenth Century, compiled and edited by Paul Elmer More and Frank Leslie Cross (1935, SPCK). Its a mighty and comprehensive selection of works.

The Boat of a Million Years by Poul Anderson. Not what I expected, it is loosely "science fiction", but it's also historical fiction as it's concerned with immortals in the ancient world. Not gods, but people who just don't die unless somebody actively kills them.

hmm the best thing to get would be "the gary snyder reader", i think it's called something like that. it's wonderful, it contains his poetry, translations, journal entries and more. they have it on amazon.
