My brother used to live in Brentford - about 15 mins walk from Ealing Broadway. There were a couple of good pubs there, from what I recall....at least you don't live in Croydon - it could be worsr for you!

i know brentford, about 10 or so minutes on the bus. i know of two lovely pubs right by the river.

croydon sounds awful; just that name alone. but hey! peep show was set there, and peep show is made of win.

"Peep Show" is Win Central, but alas, Croydon is Ultimate Fail. It's a place with an unpleasant and often violent atmosphere - it's the one place in London I genuinely feel scared in. Thank God no-one I know of lives there now.
