NOW AT WWW.NOFUNPRODUCTIONS.COM
2 new cds and 2 new lps: NFP-26 Thurston Moore 'Sensitive/Lethal' CD NFP-30 Religious Knives 'Resin' CD NFP-21 Enema Syringe 'live at no fun fest 2007' lp - limited to 350. NFP-22 Carlos Giffoni/Aaron Dilloway 'live at no fun fest 2007' split LP- limited to 350. we are also carrying on the distro items the new amazing CCCC cd 'Chaos is the Cosmos', as well as well as limited quantities of two Carlos Giffoni releases: Opening The Gates LP (limtied to 300) and Eternal Noise CD (limited to 500) both are analog synth electronic epics. Burning Star Core 'Blood Lightning 2007'CD,Semgma/Giffoni/Metalux LP, and the Mouthus 2x12" are now all sold out from us. And we only have a handful of copies left of the limited Prurient cd+5",Religious Knives CD and the Hive Mind and Consumer Electronics LP's. here is some descriptions of our new releases: NFP-26 Thurston Moore 'Sensitive/Lethal' CD Sensitive/Lethal is Thurston Moore in deep basement cosmosis. Investigations into acoustic guitar as noise instrument as well as noise/amp discussion for a hopeful and bright blackness. Childhood dreams of noise essayed with photos of unsuspecting innocents running from noise weirdo (front cover) and texas blues albino drug zap (johnny winter – still alive and well detail – back cover). This is the story told in drone meditation and sweet slice. NFP-30 Religious Knives 'Resin' CD Since their first release for No Fun Productions, the collection of early LP's/singles entitled 'Remains', the Religious Knives have grown into a stunningly assured and powerful rock n' roll band of sorts, one liberally and noticeably immersed in the smoke-addled haze of the psychedelic underground. Resin marches ahead with a vigorous potency that accurately shares its bloodline with the best psychedelic acts of the past. This is Brooklyn's true Psychedelic Rock. LPs: NFP-21 Enema Syringe 'live at no fun fest 2007' lp - limited to 350. Full no fun 2007 live set, recorded to the best possible quality. Totally insane and heavy set from Industrial/Noise Swedish Pioneer's Enema Syringe. NFP-22 Carlos Giffoni/Aaron Dilloway 'live at no fun fest 2007' split lp. limited to 350.Full no fun 2007 live sets, from Giffoni and Dilloway recorded to the best possible quality.Total tape mangling, and Analog Synth destruction. No Fun Fest: Tickets are moving quickly, only a few 3 day passes left and single day tickets moving fast specially for Saturday... Hotel info coming in a week or two along with some new information. |

Ahlzagailzehguh will now be playing on sunday night, and Joseph H. and Rick Pots are not goign to be able to do solo sets on sunday night's second stage due toa scheduling conflict. However the Dinosaurs With Horns set on main stage friday night is still very much on! Tickets are moving fast.... specially the 3 day pass and the saturday single day, we recommend you purchase your tickets this week if you haven't done so yet, as the festival date gets closer there should be a substantial amount of local press showing up about it and we expect whatever tickets are left then to fly out. now some hotel recommendations if you still haven't taken care of that: your best cheap option is the days inn in brooklyn, which is Days Inn Brooklyn 437 39th Street Brooklyn, NY 11232 800-916-4635 is only a few blocks from the yellow line (r/n/q/w) which will take you to the canal st. stop in Manhattan which is only a few blocks away from the venue. there are also lots of hostels/shared bathroom hotels in the city that are in expensive that should be able to find in a search on any of the major travel sites. now if money is not a problem for you we suggest any of the following which are all relatively close to the venue but are really pricey that weekend: Sohotel 1-800-737-0702 341 Broome St http://www.sohotel-ny.com/ Holiday Inn 212.966.8898 138 Lafayette St Cosmopolitan 212-566-1900 Off-Soho Suites 212.353.0860 Carlton Arms 212.532-4100 Skyline Hotel - 49th & 10th - 212.586-3400 ( Hotel Deauville 103 East 29th St 212.683.0990 800.333.8843 http://www.hoteldeauville.com The closest and by far the nicest hotel is the Tribeca Grand or Soho Grand, but they are really pricey: http://www.tribecagrand.com/ less than 5 mins walking from the club http://www.sohogrand.com/ SEE YOU ALL NEXT MONTH! ---------------------------------------------------------- Visit www.nofunproductions.com to get the altest no fun productions releases. Giffoni/Dilloway Split LP and the Enema Syringe LP are almost gone! Thurston Moore 'Sensitive/Lethal' CD and Religious Knives 'Resin' CD are piling up critical acclaim and you should get them both if you haven't yet, we are super excited and proud of how great they came out. Finally if you are searching for some of the out of print releases on the label we recommend you take a look at Fusetron: fusetronsound.com as they have copies of a lot of the LP's that are sold out from US. Including the Pita LP, the John Wiese LP, and the Smegma/Giffoni/Metalux Collaboration among others.... |

sold out. the remainder tickets for both Friday and Sunday are moving fast as well, if there are any left they will be available at the door each day. be there before door times if you don't want to miss anything, we are expecting tons of people and some lines to get in at the beginning. + first band on stage too goes on only a few minutes after doors open one thing you should check out if you are coming: Noise/art show Curated by Thurston Moore at KS ART gallery (across the street from knitting factory) This a show of visual art (drawings/posters/etc) by noise artist.Lots of them with ties to the fest and the no fun productions label. The show opens Friday evening, and the gallery is open all day Saturday (official hours are from noon to 6) there will Also be music from aprox 4 to 7 on friday and saturday (4 to 6:30 sun) at the gallery, so great thing to catch right before the fest starts if you have the extra time. bands playing: dead machines northampton wools paul flaherty + zac davis duo marci bassett oshea/moloney duo uneven universe + maybe 1 or 2 more.... see you this weekend. |

HEY!
VERY IMPORTANT - the ticket structure for No Fun Fest was made out so that the club isn't OVERSOLD on ANY night. There was a limited amount of tickets available for both 3-day passes and individual days. No Fun Fest required this of the Knit. I know, because I booked the dang show myself! So we're hoping everyone can move around easily, from the different floors and not be too crammed in. Might be full when Cluster is on, or any of the 'headliner' acts but we aren't selling as many tickets as we normally do, for this purpose specifically!!! WHICH IS A GOOD THING! Friday is almost Sold Out (30 tix left) - that is the night Thurston is playing, there are still a good amount of tix left for Lee's night (SUN) and SAT is definitely sold out - although there may be a couple tickets left at Academy Records in either Brooklyn or the East Village. Might wanna call ahead! Again - this is ALL AGES too. There will be cards and posters w/ ALL the SET TIMES and schedules. I might post it up here for your reference too. Thanks, hope to see all of you guys there. I have a long beard and long hair. Like 80% of the people who will be in attendance. |

Hey respect, man, that you guys even considered this an issue. I just wanted to mention a couple events that might be of interest to visitors - the only street fair in Manhattan that holds much interest to me happens this weekend on 7th between 3rd and 2nd, its the Ukranian Streetfair and features lots of delicious perogies and keilbasa etc and if you get a chance to see the kids dancing in their costumes its something - Metropolitain Postcard Club has their spring show Fri - Sun at the New Yorker Hotel on 34th St at 8th Ave, if you have any interest in collecting old postcards you won't want to miss this, I'm a member so I'll be there Saturday, unless I'm still tripping from Fri nite from all the aerosol lysergix |
