Another thumbs up for Breaking Bad. My favorite of the 00's is probably Six Feet Under. It would have been Nip Tuck but that ran out of steam to fast. Still though the Flabby Abby story line was the funniest story line I have ever seen on TV...

way fucking worse.
it was destroyed by its own creators not some drunken juggalos. altho if juggalos had directed the finale it would have been a lot better. OMG ITS ALL A CHRISTIAN ALLEGORY THEY ARE ALL IN CHURCH AND THEN JACK IS THE HERO AND EVERYONE LIVES HAPPILY EVER AFTER IN CHURCH. fucking disgrace. 6 years of plots that went no where. no answers. they had no plan and no idea what they were doing. absolutely nothing substantial. it really was bad. oh well. its over now. |

I don't know what the fuck you expected. What show answers EVERYTHING and maintains its charm? I didn't think it was a perfect ending but I thought it was good enough. It wasn't a christian allegory. It was spiritual in a sense but it didnt single out any one religion or hold to any ONE religion's beliefs. The smoke monster was there from the beginning by the way, in the pilot. I'd say they had some idea of what they're doing. But then again, admitting that wouldnt make your sonic youth gossip rant about LOST any cooler and prolly take away yer cred. The writers even made fun of the name christian sheppard by having kate call it out. All the stuff that happened on the Island was real, and this alternate timeline thing was just a waiting place of sorts. You could call it purgatory if you're christian, but Matthew Fox explained on Kimmel what I believe it to have been. When you die you see friends and people that impacted you in life that you trust, and they are there to help you move on. To remember your death. His death wasnt the plane crash but he died on the island. All the weird mythology and scientific stuff was real. Jack died while the others escaped and went on to live whatever lives they had left. What's shitty about that? All the ppl who died on the island over the past 6 years died there. They answered all the MAIN mysteries like...who the others were, who their leaders were, how they're leaders got their powers, and etc. They didnt have to fully explain WTF the island is, why would they? Leave some mystery to it all. It would have been bad writing otherwise. Obviously the light is some weird pocket of electromagnetism and it keeps the island alive. For some reason it had to be protected, it's always had a protector, and the show ended with a new protector being chosen. Dunno what all the bitching is about really. It's not perfect but it's a TV show and the best one in a long time. |

by the way im a fucking athiest and i wouldnt go to a friends funeral. id have more fucking respect. maybe id torch the church it was happening in. you know, just for the CRED.
i wasn't expecting anything. i knew it would suck and it did. i just didn't imagine it could be THAT shit. but you're right. the fact that the character was called christian sheperd and kate made fun of it shows they are such self aware genius's, almost self effacingly ironic... how could i not see this as the mindblowing televisual feat of uniqueness that it is? and you're right again, it wasn't even christian. it was the church of agnostic los angeles actors were everyone has immaculate make up and all creeds colours and races co exist in harmonious vaguely spritual vacuity. saying things like, "time to let go." and "you just have to believe". because when you die you see people who had an emotional impact on your lives, and everyone is happy and no one gets offended- im sorry i cant type anymore of this bullshit. i dont care. it sucked. you disagree. whatever. its over and i dont want to talk about it anymore. i dont really see how disliking something that YOU like means i must be doing some sort of pose for cred. but you know, whatever, if you are so determined to defend that piece of shit of a show go ahead, you win, i don't care. |

Wow, way to make a giant post off of one thing I said. I guess the cred thing really offended you.
You seem like such a genius yrself, why even bother watching television? Go write your masterpiece I never called anyone on the show a genius, just saying I enjoyed it. Even though I don't believe in any religion myself and consider them poison, if I have a friend who believes in something I respect their right to believe whatever they want. If I had a friend who died I would go to their funeral out of respect to my friend, I would put my beliefs aside to honor their memory. You sound like one of those trolling athiest cunts, go burn down a church with berzum ha |

I think the finale was kick ass. Not a single episode was boring. Even the "filler" episodes helped to develop the characters, and according to one of the producers, character development was the main purpose for the show. And although there are many connections to Christianity, there are many more related to other religions. The whole mythology of this place was well crafted. I'm sad the story has ended, but enough was answered for me and the interpretations people throughout the world will take from it will be all across the spectrum.
