In the paranoid form of this disorder, the sufferer develops delusions of persecution or personal grandeur. The first signs of paranoid schizophrenia usually surface between the ages of 15 and 34 (Ed. whereas many other types of schizophrenia usually manifest at earlier ages.) There is no cure, but the paranoid schizophrenia can be controlled with antipsychotic medications. Severe attacks may require hospitalization.

The essential feature of Paranoid Schizophrenia is preoccupation with one or more systematized delusions or with frequent auditory hallucinations related to a single theme. In addition, symptoms characteristic of the Disorganized and Catatonic Types such as incoherence, flat or grossly inappropriate affect, catatonic behaviour, or grossly disorganized behavior, are absent. When all exacerbations of the disorder meet the criteria for Paranoid Type, the clinician should specify "Stable Type".
Associated features of Paranoid Schizophrenia include unfocussed anxiety, anger, argumentativeness, and violence. Often a stilted, formal quality or extreme intensity in interpersonal interaction is noted.
The impairment in functioning in Paranoid Schizophrenia may be minimal if the delusional material is not acted upon. Onset tends to be later in life than the other types, and the distinguishing characteristics may be more stable over time. Some evidence suggests that the prognosis for the Paranoid Type, particularly with regard to occupational functioning and capacity for independent living, may be considerably better than for other types of schizophrenia.

It's also such a huge country that it invites generalisations. On the whole, I've found coastal states to be pretty decent places. And, in fact, (though it's not a coastal state) Phoenix is completely brilliant.

Re things of worth. I understand but I think it's simply a fact of who cares about worth? In what sense? They're producing plenty, I reckon, though it's not news-worthy except for that thing. That war? Yeah that's about it.

I've been doing a lot of travelling between the UK and US. I really feel that, in terms of percentages, we are dead equal for idiots. USA just has a larger population!

I've done my fair bit of travelling around the world, and I must say America has the nicest people of all (yes, I've been to Canada), and that the UK probably has the least friendly, most arrogant and anti-social citizens.

That being said, I've never been to the east coast of the US, except for a day I spent in Philadelphia- which was okay.

The overwhelming majority of the now banned internet gaming sites did their banking in London, UK.
This same law delivered a blow to the British economy by stripping it of billions of dollars in annual income coming into the country.

ha ha that is funny. 2 countries i've never been too keen on visiting are england and germany. my only experience with germany was a 6 hour stopover at the frankfurt airport, horrid enough to dissuade me from ever going again. about england, well... it's full of english people

Your post above is a bit ironic, crypto, considering that Texas recently deemed Rodin's "The Thinker" an obscene sculpture. An exemplary, well-liked public school teacher of more than twenty years was fired as a scapegoat after the school district received many angry complaints from backwoods parents. The instructor had taken her classes to view the reproduction at the Museum of Fine Arts right there in Houston.
