Ever see that scene in Parenthood where the little kid throws up all over Steve Martin's lap. I've been there at least half a dozen times. At least nowadays they don't throw up on me. Or at least they haven't in a while--I imagine there's still a chance.

And all that crap you hear about how lonely it is in the "empty nest" is a crock. This empty nest phase is the most tranquility I've had in my life in years.

Is it just baby spit up, or is it upchucking? I could always take the baby spit up stuff, but the flu-y puke up buckets all over dad's chinos between ages 2 and 6 were the worst!

They're both old enough to be out on their own. So far, one legitimately is, and the other is struggling with the college thing.
