That bit about 54 seconds in when the drums start playing a simple beat. At that moment you know it's going to be a good song. And then before Thurston starts singing, Lee (or is it Kim?) starts playing the guitar riff high on the guitar neck.

Someone more knowledgeable than I in the Sonic arts (CL, RI-I mean one of you) can tell you for sure, Lee plays a modified zither on the studio and early live versions on Inhuman, so that's the high riff you're hearing. Great song. It seems that we're all looking toward CIS/KYI for sonic moments.
