yes, but Hilla Rebay to his right was the spirit behind that design... to the extent that she pushed wright to design a museum she thought worthy of kandinsky. which wright probably would never have done on his own.

...whether or not you like any of these pieces above, none of them would have been possible without Hilla's conception of a fluid continous space to show exhibit art... she had been the curator of the precursor to the Guggenheim, called The Museum of Non-Objective Painting, which was where many of the Guggenheim's paintings had been before FLLW designed the new building.
