Own. I have a ton of Limited Edition 7 inches from Chicago No Wave acts(KK Rampage, Lost Robot, NTELOS, etc) because they love me and send them to me free of charge.

I'll have to think about it.
That Sonic Boom "Spectrum" LP in the photo with the 2 turning op art wheels is a cool one.

Don't tell me you have the first Sonic Boom album because if you do,you are in deep trouble Mr Clone.I'm talking about the one that has a cover of 'Rock and Roll is killing my life' on it.

I've got a few that I love: The baby Men's 'For King Willy' EP; The Fall's 'Hit The North' 7" picture disc; Cruiser's Creek 12" by the same band; an old free disc from am magazine called The Hit that includes an otherwise unreleased version of 'Taste of Cindy' by The Jesus and Mary Chain; 'Don't it Make you Feel' by The Bambi Slam; but I really love this 12":

'Duel; is the perfect pop single, and the b-side, 'Jewel', is a vicious reworking of the same track. Bitter-sweet. Propaganda, ahh...

It's nice to find someone else who remembers Propaganda (and remembers them fondly, too). A good start to the day. For those who don't and have nothing better to do than read my nonsense:

Propaganda were the ideal pop band: great tunes; distinctive sound; intelligent; short-lived (but not ephemeral, oh no); interesting; good subject matter and lyrics; and great presentation, no doubt thanks in part to the mighty ZTT Records, who were unbeatable at that time.

Another of their songs, p:Machinery, is about the dehumanising effect of industry and big government, and the faceless obsequiousness that it tries to create. They could have been prophesising Tony Blair's government. Pretty decent lyrics, doubly so by the standards of 1980's pop!:

Another hope
Feeds another dream.
Another 'truth'
Installed by the machine.
A secret wish,
A marrying of lies,
Today comes true
what common sense denies

The videos for 'Duel' and 'p:Machinery' are not so good, but this eerie black-and-white promo for 'Dr Mabuse' (directed by Anton Corbijn) is rather nice.

They did one LP, 'A Secret Wish', and a remix LP called 'Outside World' . Anything released after that is not the original line-up, and just not the same!

Quality is better than quantity for sure.
Some of my "most prized" records are not rare or expensive at all, just great LPs.

That Sonic Boom album is a pain to even download on soulseek where you normally find everything.I've managed 4 songs and that's all.The Suicide cover i'm sorely missing.

I have that free disc from Hit! Music mags always used to give away free 7"'s & they very often had exclusive tracks. The JAMC song was them at their best. Got a few flexis still but was always a bit scared of ruining my stylus by playing them! Some of my flexi tracks include: Vice Squad; Bauhaus; The Professionals; Galaxie 500; The Passage; and too many others to mention!

That version of 'Taste of Cindy' was what got me into proper 'alternative' music - I'd never heard anything like it, that was my music epiphany.

I've got a few flexis, but the only one I can remember is The Senseless Things, who became semi-famous for a while ('Easy To Smile' was a good single, and used Jamie Hewlett's artwork maybe 12 years before The Gorillaz).

I have a three-track 7" from NME (1987?) that has a very interesting track by Steinsky and Mass Media called 'The Motorcade Sped On' - JFK and Lee HArvey Oswald shooting news reports over a hip-hop beat. The same 7" also has a live version of 'White Kross' by Sonic Youth - loud very growly vocals, not my favourite version.

I've noticed from the infinity thread that our past musical interests have been similar.

Senseless Things! I knew loads of people who liked that sort of thing but it was never for me. I was listening to Sonic Youth, Butthole Surfers, Big Black etc at the time so that pop punk stuff all sounded a bit bland to me in comparison. And I also have that 3 track single with Steinski, and a great one from the NME with a great version of Hardcore Hip Hop by Mantronix.

When I bought 'Easy to Smile' (Senseless Things) my thing was Neds Atomic Dustbin, Gaye Bykers, Pop Will Eat Itself (of course) and a local band called Scorpio Rising, who were utterly fantastic (they did some EP's and an LP but then things went wrong!). I remember a friend had a Senseless Things t-shirt that just said 'Pop Kid', so I guess that sums up their approach to guitar stuff.

I don't know offhand if I have the other one you mention, but I have a few from Sounds, NME, fanzines etc from around that time (late 80's/early90's). Some good stuff.

I was always into Sonic Youth and The Fall, of course, and I quite liked Butthole Surfers too - almost anything John Peel played, really. Good times for indie.
