Oh, of course, not questioning yer hoodie/anorak knowledge. But again (labouring the point as per usual), those coats were nowhere to be seen in the UK until the early 90's, where K Shields did indeed sport one around the time of "Loveless". And if anyone would have called MBV an anorak band then, they would have laughed off the face of the earth. Funnily enough, those coats were sported far more by rave/dance/hip-hop outfits in the UK at the time.

Ignore parkas. Cantankerous is deluded.
And I think you're taking the term anorak too literally. |

Anorak: "A person obsessively interested in a thing or topic that doesn't seem to warrant such attention."
Or a geek if you will. |

Kevin Shields is a nerd. As is T Moore. And J Mascis. And Lee Ranaldo. And etc etc etc.
Nerds for the Win, everytime. Jocks can all eat shit. Slowly.

because i like their records and people who saw them in the old days always go on about how amazing they were live. i think people who think mbv are awesome live are just tricked in to thinking they're better than they really are because of the volume. |

they were good. they weren't incredible but they were certainly passable. definitely not the best show i'll ever see but i suppose i got my money's worth. mostly i went because no way was i not going to see them live if they toured again.
