honestly, in regards to om's new drummer. as far as i'm concerned, a duo loses one member and it's not the same band anymore, simple as that. too bad to, as far as i could see, there wasn't gonna be much from holding om back from dominating the world.

Sleep are OK.

Never listened to High On Fire but they rule live.

Anyway, what's everyone's opinion on God is Good, OM's first full album with Emil Amos on drums?

i really like GiG...it's a bit of a departure. go see them play if you live near a tour stop. the addition of rob lowe into the mix is a critical one.

New High on Fire will be out on February 23rd.

they appear to be going for the massive slayer/mastodon kind of sound... not sure what to think of that.

three more shows this year...next week in NYC, and some festival in Calgary and a show in LA.

if i wasn't so busy @ work i'd head down to see the NYC show...Winter and White Hills as support = superb.

btw, i did an interview w/ Emil and he mentioned the new Om record is just about complete.
