Ah, they played the whole thing!?!
I remember when it came out, and I thought, "oh! I must save some cash to buy it!!". It never happened, this makes me sad. |

I would suggest early Whitehouse.....
Every NON album I have heard was really great, Definitely not into his work under his own name though, I am completely disinterested in his opinions, right wing neo-fascism is not my thing, and he also wrote that terrible 'pro-rape' article for Answer Me! I think for the rape issue. Whitehouse also has misogynest (sp???) lyrics and songtitles too but like NON the lyrics are buried and distorted (rapemaster, etc.). Big Black is another really incredible industrial band, although with more of a hardcore punk thing going on not unlike Ministry. Big Black had a huge impact on that kind of sound. |

Yeah, and everything written in Answer Me! was meant to be taken as 100% serious and literal...

Is that article anywhere on the net? I think Mr Rice is a fascinating character, always a lot more interesting than Willhelm Bennett. The schticks worn too thin with Whitehouse for me.

I don't know for sure, but the audio clips of him on Bob Larson's radio show that he has available on his website are completely priceless.

Answer Me!! Did have some brilliant stuff, I know Boyd Rice is really into being offensive and making people angry but that is just really not where my head is at. Misogeny, racism, gay bashing...... Its really tiresome. I hear enough of this shit at work I don't need it in my music. NON is some of the best music in the planet though.

The "gay bashing" tag is really unfair and inaccurate, though. I mean, look at who he works with. Douglas P, for example, is just one of the many known homosexuals with whom Boyd has had longtime musical collaborations and lasting friendships. I could name more, but it needs to be said. There are a whole lot of misconceptions about him, and being supposedly "anti-gay" is just one of them. http://www.boydrice.com/faq.html |
