My favorite SY release of this decade has been Murray Street. I swear, I could listen to that album all day long. Most of the time when I listen to it, I do so two or three times. You just can't beat the highlights: Karen Revisited, Sympathy For the Strawberry, Rain On Tin. It's a perfectly succinct little album. A 10 out of 10 for sure.

Holy damn, did I really say "the horrible horns from Borbetomagus"? Hahah that sounds so nerdy.
Anyways Shirttail you are cute. The only difference I can say from being 6 months into the future is that I can't figure out which is better... Sonic Nurse or Murray Street... Last decade was cool for Sonic Youth let's hope they give us at least one more. |

I guess I would agree. Murray Street sets the best with me, and is the album that brought me back to SY after losing interest in 92.I feel Murray street and Nurse were big albums for them,I guess the content was different? I don't know, maybe things like 911 brought everyones life so close together that SY was right in the main current of it. They have since gone their way a little. I do not know about my tastes in music right now, I doubt I am very in touch , so what do I know.
