Antenna was my favorite when I first heard it, but it's really just the same thing repeated three times with an alright interlude in between. Thurston's vocal delivery is pretty ace though.
Leaky Lifeboat is just a really cool song that doesn't seem forced at all. The chord after the first "la la la la la la" sequence is perfect. Lee's guitar is funky. Kim and Thurston sound great singing together. Steve's drumming!! Come on. And the harmonics actually work for me (unlike on the beginning of Pink Steam or that useless section of Do You Believe in Rapture?), so this was nice to hear. Oh, and my prediction for winner, although not my absolute favorite, is Malibu Gas Station. |
