actually that website is very helpful
i'm looking at the dental services section because my teeth are in pretty bad shape at the moment i don't know if i can afford to get them fixed though, let alone a $90 basic visit @ NYU dental school

I hate not having health insurance. It makes me feel so poor.

1) health insurance is pretty much only good for catastrophic events. FUCK insurance companies.
2) do not look up health information on the internet. any doctor will tell you that you get fucking bunk information, in addition to the fact the web-info will probably freak you the fuck out. 3) only go to a fucking "doc-in-a-box" (quick care clinic sort of thing) if it's going to save you an ER visit. otherwise, just make a regular appointment with a family med doc or something. not going to be a whole lot of price difference. if you tell them you're really ill... they'll get you in. |

if you are addressing me, i certainly never said you shouldn't go to the doctor. i did say going to reputable doctor is better than going to a quick care clinic doctor. what makes you think you've got hep? had it before? |

- the fact that i drink probably more than i should
- the fact that i've got all the symptoms, most alarmingly dark/orange-gold coloured piss despite the fact that by my mother's advice i've drank probably a gallon of water a day since i've been ill - abdominal pain - it may be viral hepatitis as my lymph nodes are still swollen to the size of golf balls and EXTREMELY painful to touch unlike any time when i've had the flu, which has always subsided within a few days when i've had it, these symptoms show no sign of going away

well if you don't have a cough, you absolutely don't have the flu. flu = respiratory.
sounds more like a kidney infection, imo. get well! |

no i don't have a cough which also indicated to me that i don't have the flu. i don't have any kind of back pain going on either which would most likely rule out a kidney infection, mostly a lot of muscular aches. no frequent need to pee etc.

back pain really isn't the best indicator of a kidney infection...and it's totally plausible that you could have discomfort in your abdomen. hopefully they'll be able to fix you up to some degree and you won't just have to ride it out waiting for some virus to go away. |
