as for changes in everyone’s life: yes, we have a different social climate these days and it’s palpable. too long to go into detail typing on a phone. lastly, williamson is a bit of a hippy loony and is not gonna get the nomination. but if she did?? you’d have a successful book author who runs nonprofits to protect the poor, help people with hiv/aids, advocate for peace... vs a failed casino operator, habitual scammer, reality tv show bastard, pussy grabber who’s more qualified? and who’s deranged now? |

This. And beyond that, Trump promotes an atmosphere of fear and hate. This does affect a lot of people. Just because the economy seems somewhat okay on the surface that doesn't mean that everything's A-okay. One only has to look at the kind of atrocities that happen at the border (Cages, for crying out loud), or what ICE is doing. This hits people who already, societally speaking, don't really have a voice. And then there are of course blue collar Joe and Jane who have to worry about healthcare. I may be looking in from the outside as well, so of course I can't grasp the entire scope of things. But if one does take a look, it's quite easy to see how everday life has been negatively affected by Trump's admin. |

and, even for some of us that the economy is going well, we still hate trimp for his overt faux religiousity and his abysmal foreign policy, let alone migration. I also don't think you can say he is driving this economic boom in any way and his extremely bad tax policies and tariff nonsense have some potentially dire consequences, economically. FUCK TRUMP |

Exactly. This guy has managed to tank Casinos for fuck's sake. That's as far away from the entrepreneural prowess some attribute to him as possible. In fact, it's quite pathetic. If the economy is okay for some (and I wanna stress the "some" here), it's rather despite of him than because of him. And I guess it's a question of time when his shoddy policies will affect the economy negatively on a larger scale. Oh and then there's his announcement to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. There's another decision that stands to really exacerbate an already bad situation. The list of how Trump could possibly or has already negatively affected everyday life just goes on and on. |

here are the latest polls on the primary
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...tion-6730.html notice the latest poll from politico seems post-debate biden 33 sanders 19 warren 12 harris 12 (doubled her numbers) bootyjudge 6 booker 3 beto 2 yang 2 everyone else 1 each — a biden-harris ticket, assuming they can kiss and make up (im sure uncle joe would be into that, lol) adds more than other possible pairings (i don’t see a biden-bernie ticket happening) notice also mayor pete is for public option not mandatory single payer. as i think also is beto. |

this theme is getting a little boring, "Democrats need to nominate a Republican to win", ala David Fucking Brooks I think a Biden/Castro ticket is a bigger winner than Biden/Harris. Biden has the black vote down, what is needed is to motivate the increasing number of Hispanics to GOTV |

Question for a Bernie fan: why does he support the F35 fighter plane, which costs 6x more and is 4x louder than the F16 it is replacing, and deployment of which in Vermont’s Burlington International Airport will render worthless, due to additional noise, large areas of low cost housing surrounding the airport? Just asking for a friend... |

I don't know and I don't care
Also Biden's campaign is going to tank soon and he would do terrible in the general against someone like Trump. It would be embarrassing for everyone. Grabby Grandpa Joe's political career is over, centrism is not what the large majority of people want. Interesting how a lot of centrist candidates have latched onto Sanders' talking points because they realise the party's base has moved left (while the DNC still sits right in the middle, being useless). |
