No Stones in your top 5, thread starter?
I'm surprised.

Sticky Fingers comes in at number 6, currently. It's always in the mix for the top 10 or 15, but it faces tough, tough competition. Neck and neck with the White Album, I might add. Could easily kick those Liverpool butts out of there at a moment's notice.

I'm omitting the Fall from my list, on account of them making more brilliant albums than most bands have songs.
Fushitsusha - I saw it...; NNCK - letters from the Earth; The Shaggs - Philosophy...; Hank Williams - Lost Highway; Urusei Yatsura - we are... This list also implicitly suggests that classical pieces don't count as albums, which would be another list.

Punk / metal: 1. Pissed happy children - pissed playground 2. Rorschach - remain sedate =2. Infest - slave 3. Snuff - snuff said 4. Ripping corpse - dreaming with the dead 5. Slayer - reign in blood Non punk / metal: 1. Slint - spiderland 2. Sonic youth - daydream nation 3. Unwound - future of what 4. dis- - the historically troubled third album 5. My bloody valentine - loveless But I guess these lists change often.
