If grunge isn't dead, may I offer to smother it with a pillow?

X-Girl was the female version of the Beastie Boys' X-Large. Nothing to do with grunge.

Well with the born of the grunge started a new fashion and in the majority of the cases it is looked slightly more spiritual (as Nirvana) and something less commercial(as Nirvana) But the circumstances and the commercial success did of Nirvana one more commercial product, probably Kurt to turns turned into a mere commercial success it is possible that it has been one of the reasons of his death. Many groups never signed with big record for his dignity. Nirvana signed with DGC records thanks to SY.

yeah i think Nirvana was actually an offshoot of "post-punk", especially if you take a look at what influenced Cobain and Co. I've never seen anyone use the word "grunge" so much... its really a poor generalized description of the music of that era, and as someone said before all of those bands were quite desparate in sound from each other. |

Grunge schmunge. Grunge, like punk, "died" from the first moment it became appropriated by mainstream culture/fashion/media etc. Anyone else remember Bruce Willis and Demi Moore showing off their grunge wear?

^^^Ah, but that's the genius of the Willis. Every era needs a solid, all-American guy reeking off cheap cider and Lucky Strike. And boy, Willis has seen many an era. Still, let's not be too hard on the guy - he did give the world "The Return Of Bruno".

Not, I have underpants that I do not wash for years and do not think that these underpants are "grunge", a few trousers or a rescholarship do not do a person grunge, but the person is the one that does that these clothes are grunge. |

Not only grunge is dead and buried, but it seems like it has killed a few people's brain cells on its way to the grave.
