The Meat Puppets are worth checking out. I've listened to Smegma but I didn't like them and never did again, thought they were boring. I like Husker Du, Easy-E has a great rapping voice and Redman is good. Most of these bands I've never heard of.
umm...Some interesting Japanese stuff that I would never have heard of and I never have listened to Scratch Acid and really want to. |

Not true. Some of their stuff is really nice. The Wooden Wand solo record is really good and so are a few WWVV records. They have put out a lot of nonsense but who hasn't?

I need to check out some more Pengo. I have heard maybe 3 or 4 things and they are all quite different. I have A Nervous Splendour downloaded and I really need to get a copy of the LP. |

i haven't heard davenport yet, but their name is rubbish so i can't be bothered to look into them either. WWVV just sounds like the kind of crap any people could come up with with the right combination of drug induced delusions and varied musical equipment.

toilet & bowels - i advise you to listen to l'un marquer contre la moissonneuse by wooden wand and the vanishing voice, put out on threelobed and i think you'll change your opinion. The angel hair cdr is also quite good too.
pengo - the nervous splendor lp is available at fusetron for $ 13 http://www.fusetronsound.com/label.php?whomart=PENGO |

Us Maple and Lake of Dracula i first heard on a Skingraft compilation and they struck me as very good bands. You should get anything that Third eye foundation have done, especially 'You guys kill me'.I have the second Forcarnation album and it is beautiful, especially the track 'Moonbeans'. E.A.R are not for everyone but they are well worth checking out. |
