I visited the exhibition yesterday very psyched to see the White Columns/Ecstatic Peace Library collaboration only to find an empty space where they should be... I'm going back in a few hours so hopefully they will be there. The rest of the show looks cool and exciting.

really good evening, temperatures were great. Thurston played an accoustic set with about 4 new songs. My friend filmed it all for Tate, i'll try and get the video footage from him

Indeed Thurston played a sweet solo acoustic TOTA heavy set. To start with he welcomed his fellow EP Library conspiritor Eva Prinz onstage who read the poem Le Déserteur by Boris Vian with such great aplomb that it reminded me of the footage that I've seen of "The International Poetry Incarnation" at the Albert hall in 1965!.
He then went on to play Never Day and continued with: Fri/End You Lost Yr Lover Blood He didn't give out the title to the next one but I think it may be called "Diamond In The Gutter" or "Without Shame" as he repeated these lines a lot. He followed this with another new one "Circulation"... which segued neatly into Woody Guthrie's This Train Is Bound For Glory And ended with Honest James.

i feel less bad about missing this now that i know it was just trees outside the academy stuff. i assumed he was going to be doing an improv thing.

I've only really enjoyed Temperatures and DJ Spooky of all the people on the bill.

How was Cosey's set?
That Youtube video was beautiful, perfect sound, 1080p crystal clear, and great colour. Thank you very much for sharing! I would love to see the full set. |

Oh ok, so this is the thread it comes come. thanks.
I remember standing near the stage looking at all the hot young ladies and thinking that they were acting like they all wanted to fuck with Thurston. I walked out mid-gig because the music was boring. |

i don't know "the board" was quoted as a whole entity but the "hot little number" words were. i would never concur with that statement. numbers leave me cold. |

I can't help wondering if the post in question was brought to her attention when it was originally posted or after I bumped it in 2012, hehe...
