The fifth goal was just taking the piss really. Torres' header was pretty awesome though. |

i have a feeling italy might win today. brazil tends to get lazy, and italy will be fighting to be in.
egypt is gonna throttle usa

I dunno. I thought the US was meant to have a pretty decent team at the moment.

I don't have a preference either, but I don't mind watching games as a neutral. It's off to an entertaining start so far. Italy surely seem to realise they have to win this and Brazil are making really fast breaks whenever they get the chance. |

America v Egypt so far is like something I'd see played in the street, by people in wheelchairs. I think i'm gonna look at porn.

good choice.
The USA are 1-0 up by the way. If it stays like that then Italy no longer have to win. Brazil just hit the post for the second time tonight. ooooh, Brazil... they're lightning fast on the break. 2-0! Great running from Kaka. 3-0! amazing |

Wow, that's amazing!
I forgot the first semi-final was tonight so unfortunately I didn't see it... so when I saw your post I checked on the score and it's a 2-0 victory for USA! Who would've thought... Congrats, well done. (though to be honest I was looking forward to a Brazil-Spain match) Spain stays on a 35-game unbeaten streak then, equalling Brazil's record but not breaking it. |

It was amazing! More amazing then the shock win over Portugal in 02 (whats with the Iberian peninsula?) In a way I was looking forward to a Brazil-Spain showdown too, but that's only because I really didn't have much expectation that the US would pull it off. Tim Howard is my hero. Save after save after save. Exhilarating win. |

Two big mistakes by Spain defenders, the scorers showed great will, I was pretty happy, even though I like Spain a lot. They'll get over it. Torres looked angry with his partners in this game; in his last before that too.

Ramos must take a lot of the fault for the second goal. I agree, they'll get over it, but having not lost since 2006, including 15 straight, this must sting a bit more than your usual loss. This was completely unusual. |
