Two world cups in a row where we see three goals in 15 minutes.. insane!
Sadly for most Americans I'm sure Tim Howard's 18 saves will be more memorable.. can't hate on USWMNT getting their revenge, they were CRUSHED years ago in that loss to Japan, revenge is sweet. Ask the Spurs

The irony is that you can't see that Women's futbol is essentially the same thing, talented but inferior product at a basic sport level! I bet the USWMNT couldn't beat LA Galaxy yo.. Turn off your blinders, you KNOW in your gut its right because YOU KNOW futbol better than any of us here..

Oh, they watched it, no denying that. But will it carry the same weight and cultural impact? My guess is no. Is what it is, patriarchy and all.
Lets get this LA Galaxy vs USWNT going, put some balls and ovaries on the table

Suchfriends isn't wrong. As someone with only a passing interest in football/soccer, his reasons for not bothering with the women's game are as valid as mine for not bothering with college American football. I think the women's game is a lot better quality wise than he maybe thinks, although I could also say the same about Symbol's assessment of the MLS. Seattle Sounders = 'dog pooh', really?!? Maybe compared with the the very very top ranks of the very best European leagues but if we're basing everything on those then we may as well not watch anything but the final stages of the CL.

LA Galaxy vs Sounders in the West Finals last year was a great game! WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the MLS Final against New England

Don't give me your Messi, Ronaldo et al...
They're past their prime... The new stars hail from... (not from that US of what) Vanuatu... 46-0... http://www.theguardian.com/football/...-pacific-games "A score of 30-0 was the minimum requirement for Vanuatu if they wanted to keep their hopes of qualifying from Pool A alive, with the group likely to be decided on goal difference." OK... this last line might suggest that, somewhere, something ain't as cristal clear as I thought... |

semi-watching jamaica score their first goal with the help of a costa rican defender in the middle of an empty stadium
training vs. argentina served them well -- and now costa rica ties and tries to get ahead -- wow that 2nd costa rican goal was NICE! finally starts to get entertaining. |
