The reissued, remastered, bookletted affair. The box is nice, and the original LP sounds great - Japan always went for a very polished sound and the remastering treatment suits them better than most. The extra disc is OK, and the booklet's nice but consists of photos, rather than an analysis or interview dealing with the LP, which is a shame. Still a nice thing to have. The proper LP cover: 1. The Art Of Parties 2. Talking Drum 3. Ghosts 4. Canton 5. Sill Like In Mobile Homes 6. Visions Of China 7. Sons Of Pioneers 8. Cantonese Boy

Good stuff. If you haven't got the Furniture EP, I strongly suggest getting it. It only has 3 tracks, but three killer tracks.

Just bought 'Popular Soviet Songs and Youth Music' by :zoviet france:
Excellent packaging - 3CDs sandwiched between 2 circular pieces of felt, held together by a Russian army hat badge.

I got a bunch of Torture Garden compilations today ("Extreme Clubbing Vol, 1-4") and 3 CDs on RIM Records from Rough Trade (Ming & Stout "A Taste of Wood", "The Avant Gardeners" and Jake Vegas "Nevade Gas".)

I got the Wolf Eyes/Grey Daturas split and the Replacements "Tim" last week. Tim is great but someone needs to remaster it so the drums sound less like Bon Jovi or something. The Wolf Eyes/Grey Daturas split is pretty great.

The Tim CD sounds terrible, like they're in an empty warehouse. The LP sounds much better.
