i used to think rapeman was a good and clever band name, but it's just a comic book character. it'd be like someone in japan calling their band scrooge mcduck.

Is Shellac just the backwards spelling of Callesh or is there more to the name?

3.a phonograph record made of a breakable material containing shellac, esp. one to be played at 78 r.p.m.: an LP that can hold nearly 10 times as much as the old shellac.

probably has something to do with them being pro-records and anti-cd and such...

They're still really cool band names. Coincidentally, Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb is the coolest album name ever.

As for the last part, I have soft hands and play guitar, becuase I have obsessive compulsive disorder and I wash my hands every ten minutes or so.

back in the day, back in Dallas, Tim and the gang would play gigs in people's living rooms. this was a few years before Tripping Daisy was formed and I think they called themselves Sofa Kingdom. chemicals have worked their black majick on a large part of my memories from that time....so who knows if that name is right.
