better examples are true romance and, to a lesser degree, natural born killers.

Re thread title: Underrated by who? mainstream critics? SY fans? My parents?
Forrest Gump was loved by most mainstream critics, but 'alternative' types seem to loathe it. The film's real worth is probably somewhere between the two. |

Is that good? I was thinking about going to watch it... trailers (and overall photography) made it look a bit too "prestigey", but if it's good i'll give it a try...and ed norton must be good.

Yes its good, I loved the setting, the film location and the overall feel of the movie, the way the filmed it was very intersting too. The camera filters gives it a rustic and vintage feel to it. Worth checking out.

About Sam Rockwell, he's got a good part in Tom DiCillo's Box of Moonlight with Turturro and Catherine Keener, a lovely picture.

I always think Alien 3 gets too harsh a ride. After Aliens, it seems like any attempt to focus on anything other than endless action sequences was bound to turn audiences off.

Sam Rockwell is great...he was great in Matchstick Men too...
I saw Bully last night...cant get it out of my head...Bijou Phillips is a fox, I liked her before I had seen this...now I really like her...Michael Pitt is great again (as he is in the Dreamers)...and Brad Renfro was stellar too. |
