I played one and it was quite cool. I tried an EH Freq Analyzer ring mod today that I will own eventually at half the price of a moog one.

Yeah the Moog one seems a little expensive. I guess you are probably paying a little for the "Moog" name too. But damn, it sounds like it could do so much.

If I could go back in time, I would have saved a bit of money for the moogerfooger. Here is why: AS you know, a ring mod plays a tone X, controlled by a knob. It adds and subtracts the frequency value of that tone from whatever you play. The Moog has a larger range of frequency's to choose from including very low ones that allow you to get pulsating tremolo sounds more than ring mod. The moog also has an LFO- which basically adds square or sine vibrato to the internal pitch. Not to mention that you can control everything with expression pedals or other CV devices. Nice feature. |

I have a fooger ring mod and it's something like google. After one year of researches I'm finding some stable intuitions but I still find new things. it's very hallucinogenic!! where do you connect the exp pedal Krastian? do you use even the 'LFO out'?

Ha ha.....well I'm actually a drummer. I play some guitar, but I don't have any pedals right now. My friends say that I am better than a lot of people who claim to play guitar even though I think I'm not so hot. I think I have a pretty good ear for music and I'm assuming my experience with rhythm helps me out. I pretty much just take the Jad Fair approach of "the nearer to the body of the guitar the higher of a sound you get and the nearer to the tuning end the lower of a sound you get." I don't really know chords or anything.

I own my friend's blue box now. Sounds a lot better after doing that mod to it.

I have only one, the Boss MD-2 Mega Distortion, but I don't like it that much. If I use the rhythm pickup, it's sound like I'm playing through a plastic box or something..
Julian! how is the Boss blues driver? |

here my boards..the first one is based on the Lee's board, I dont play any sy covers though, rather I love the sound of this platform that is very interesting for me. I added a couple of modulation effects cause they are okay to design my landscapes.
I'm not a guitarist, rather a taxi driver Screw you guys, I'm going home!

That's a great rack you got there. The moog looks so 1970s.
