I think I've eaten a porkbastard before. Ironically, in the US. In a slightly related incident, I too created an almighty hell once when I put it to the floor that there was quite a bit of shit on US television. I really, really wish I'd never posted that thread... (DISCLAIMER: I now realise that there is absolute shit on most television in most countries. Except Japanese television.) |

Yeah, go live with Shaka in a van down by the river to clear your head of the cobwebs hehe. Shaka, I might need to take you up on that offer if you'll extend it to myself if my business goes south. I'm planning on ramming all the cards for as much as possible and disappearing if that happens. Everything usually works out to keep the shell game going though. It's just that at the end of the year during the holidays the sales go way down into death valley. I go through this every end-of-year and this year, the summer was also particularly troublesome with cash flow...very touch-and-go. |

Be on my side,
I'll be on your side, baby There is no reason for you to hide It's so hard for me staying here all alone When you could be taking me for a ride. Yeah, she could drag me over the rainbow, send me away Down by the river I shot my baby Down by the river, Dead, oh, shot her dead. You take my hand, I'll take your hand Together we may get away This much madness is too much sorrow It's impossible to make it today. Yeah, she could drag me over the rainbow, send me away Down by the river I shot my baby Down by the river, Dead, oh, shot her dead. Be on my side, I'll be on your side, baby There is no reason for you to hide It's so hard for me staying here all alone When you could be taking me for a ride. West is great, that is unless you mean West Virginia. I've been meaning to get back west. I was born in Ventura County, California.

I lived with a friend of mine one summer after high school in a trailer on the Oconee River, so I know about River People.
There was this restaurant a long stone's throw away that had the best steaks. The place reeked pretty bad though. We'd get it to go. I remember this one River Person that gave us a whole brown grocery bag full of some pretty harsh marijuana. It was beyond schwaggy, but we were just teens out of high school and we got soooo stoned all summer. I vaguley remember giving a spontaneous oration on the history of Ancient Greece in the voice of a young girl and also listening to Led Zeppelin I and The Steve Miller Band. I've recounted this one story before, but one day I woke up and this guy I'd never seen before had a shotgun pointing in my face. As I was waking, he and this other guy and my friend were all around me laughing. I swiped the barrel away with my arm and just about killed that guy after we ended up in the yard outside. I was banging his head against some rocks over and over again until I was pulled off of him. I would have gotten off if I had ended his life. I had just woke up, was ostensibly defending myself and I had just been the high school valedictorian. My girlfriend was the County Sheriff's niece as well. |

Well, that all happened in Southeast Georgia in the late '80s. I've heard great things about small towns in California.

I've lived in Atlanta in Grant Park, Marietta on Delk Rd., Jonesboro in some apt. complex, and in Athens for eleven years.
Athens is magical. There's no place like it that I've ever been to, and I find that when I meet people that have lived there or visited a lot to say that there is no place like it that they've ever been to either. Do you have the Kill the Hippies bootleg? It's from that Atlanta show. It's a good one. |
