dogs are too enthusiastic and servile. cats annoy you for what they want, or hiss and attack you if you dont please them. they are superior species.

Hereīs some artists who made their masterpieces under the age of 30: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Sonic Youth, Jethro Tull, Wigwam, Metallica, Birthday Party, Lou Reed, Pink Floyd, John Cale, Pretty Things, the Who, Frank Zappa, Yes, King Crimson. Most of the artists that are over 30 are boring, but of course there are exceptions: Nick Cave, Sonic Youth, the Who, Captain Beefheart. Tom Waits & John Parish are great exceptions of that 30 years age rule: they have made their masterpieces after that. I have always known what I want to the music. Well, in my youth there were few artists I tried to listen just because my friends like them, but soon found them shit. I think this getting old is same as losing something essential has existed always. At least Goethe was haunted about that. I just can talk about my life & I donīt really want to be young anymore. I believe that brain thing is true, but that doesnīt prevent me to be happy & enjoy music & other things. I donīt believe I will ever get any new music style, but I just donīt need to get it anyway. I think one reason why I donīt like hiphop is just because I donīt listen it at all in youth. Well I remember to like some of the Public Enemyīs, I think Iīll listen it someday. Of course itīs possible I just get bored music totally (I donīt believe it) but I believe I find then some other interesting things into my life. |

either way you are wrong. music is for everyone. Music sold by corporations is for the young, because the young have the most disposable income. they spend spend spend on whatever strikes their fancy. Most have no responsibilities yet, other than looking cool and homework.
There are always musics that take an adult ear to enjoy, and an adult "soul" to process.

But middle aged folks are buying all the CDs. Have you heard Paul Simon's last album So Beautiful, So What? Of course not. Nevertheless, wiki sez: The album debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 68,000 copies in its first week, serving as Simon's highest debut on that chart. The old folks demographic strikes. Meanwhile, Britney's last album sold 209,000. Total. |

and when these generations die, there will be noone left buying cds.
a fact that is almost impermissible since we seem to deal with death by refusing to believe in it these days. cds still sell a bit more in country, but thats because those bumpkins are behind the times. we should all download a brain, 3d print it, and programme it to kill us and make instruments from our corpses |

Maybe art isn't really going to be a big deal for future generations. No big deal. Something else more interesting may replace all those things.

Maybe you just stop worrying about it and get a life. Nobody cares about what you think.
