without maclaren the pistols would have just been three dudes trying to get on the dole and begging for gigs. he made their image, he made their "political stance" and he added dipshit sid vicious for pure fashion and not because he could play, which he never could. lydon has proved witout a doubt that the only reason the pistols were worth anything was because of HIM

it also became very fucking hip to ignore the RAMONES when every single punk band after them including the pistols owe their existance to them.

it has to be in context atari. for 1970, the ramones were very fast, very aggressive. they were angry dudes, but they were in a band to have fun, you know? I mean, shit, half of them were sucking dick to make extra money for the first year of their band's existance!

Old Old texas blues
Blind Lemon Jefferson not that old texas blues Lightnin Hopkins T-Bone Walker Leadbelly More recent than those Freddy King Albert Collins Albert Collins was bad fucking ass. he died in 1993. he would jump off stage and play his solos on his telecaster while walking around mingling with the audience. a cool story about playing at Antone's, "involved Albert leaving the building, still plugged in and playing. A few minutes later when he was back on stage, a pizza guy came in and gave him the pizza he had just ordered when he left the building - he had gone to the take away opposite and ordered while he was still playing. " guitar guitar guitar Here is Albert Collins playing I AIN'T DRUNK at Buddy Guy's LEGENDS Club http://youtube.com/watch?v=NjVfc8-Y7sQ that song's dedicated to ya my man, swa(y)
