i have eminem.. the marshall mathers album..
i was thinking he was bringing something new to hip hop, had something to say with depth and substance.. he was of a new breed, had interesting commentary on important issues, and was fun to listen to.. i was wrong.. oh, the shame the shame

Apparently he hangs out with the Insane Clown Posse. Crazy world.

He was funny on the Surreal Life, I loved when him and Tracy (Tracy?) got in a fight because Tracy said some thing comparing eating meat to eating Vanilla Ice's kids. Hahah he got so mad.

I liked the cover...I've never heard anything else by them, though.

I can usually figure out why I bought some truly terrible albums in my time--the thing that freaks me out is not remembering where I could have possibly bought half of the stuff that now comprises my album collection. The closest record store is an hour away, and I don't get out much, nor do I purchase many things off of the internet. Maybe I sleepwalk, or sleepdrive, or sleeppurchasethingsoffoftheinternet.

Oh yeah, I think we've all had some bad musical experiences which we once loved and now realize how off we were at the time. I had some music that was popular in the late 90's who looking back on now would like top bash in the knees witha lead pipe. I wont mention those people for fear of losing face, but let's just say that they sucked. To quote Lou Reed "I'm beginning to see the light".

Alot of albums came to mind - when i take a chance on a band I haven't heard, I usually end up disappointed.
Some of the worst: Death Cab For Cutie - We Have The Facts... This was way before their OC breakout and all that crap. I bought it cuz I liked their name and heard them mentioned here and there. Boring. The Arcade Fire - Funeral Another situation like the above cd. Heard good things about them and when I heard the cd I was extremely unimpressed. Maybe they are a good live band or something, but this is blaaaand. Semisonic - Feeling... Hey they were local, the drummer plays keys and drums simultaneously and I liked one song... |
