Death of a Disco Dancer is a great track. That track was much of what I wanted to play with guitar after learning three chords....

Never knew the Smiths were such a torn issues. I always thought they were pretty good. I think it's funny that Meat is Murder barely gets mentioned though. It's definitely the least impressive of those four in my book. Love Queen, Strangeways, and Louder than Bombs. Moz is a funny dude.

Scratch what I said earlier in this thread. I kinda just dismissed the Smiths after loving them hardcore when I was 15, but this thread has made me go back and relisten to all the Smiths albums and they're one of the best bands ever. You really have to be in the right mood for them, obviously, but the fucking construction of these songs, especially in the layers and layers of guitar, blows my mind. They're just a really good pop band for the most part. The bassplaying in Hand in Glove and You've Got Everything Now! Great band. I'm hooked.

When I was 14 I declared The Smiths the greatest band ever. Since then I've only listened to them sporadically, but when I do I always remember that they're one of my favourite bands. I just realised I still need Strangeways and Hatful of Hollow.
