Cavaliers didn't get much production from players other than LeBron James, Kyrie Irving & Kevin Love in the first half: K Love was dropping dimes all over the place......so was Detroit: Pistons: 10 made 3-pt FG are their most in any half of a playoff game since May 7, 2006, also vs the Cavaliers (10 in first half). LeBron James had played 7,562 playoff mins, more than twice as many as the Pistons roster combined: Miami Heat's 123 points in Game 1 vs Hornets are a franchise record for points scored: Heat: 28 field goals in the paint Hornets: 28 made field goals First time in NBA history that four teams won their opening game of the playoffs by 25 or more points. The top 2 teams in the Western Conference went 2-0 in Game 1 and outscored opponents by 58 points. Largest Wins To Open Postseason in Spurs History: 2006 Kings 34 Sunday Grizzlies 32 Spurs made 10 of their first 11 shots in the 3rd quarter to put this game away: Spurs: won 11 of last 12 playoff series openers Tony Parker has passed both Larry Bird and Steve Nash on the all-time playoff assists list......now ranks 5th all-time (1,065) Vince Carter: 4-5 FG, 11 points Rest of Grizzlies: 5-22, 11 points |

Mavericks are the first team to win Game 2 after losing Game 1 by 35 or more since 1995 Celtics (against Magic)
Mavericks made 8 of final 13 shot attempts Thunder missed 13 of final 16 shots, including 2 in the final seconds Westbrook is the 4th worst 3 point shooter EVER of anyone who's taken more than 1500 threes. Kevin Durant: 7-of-33 from field......26 missed shots is most in playoff game since Michael Jordan missed 26 in 1997 |

Haha in the final minutes the Thunder are always beatable because it devolves into the KD and Russ show. Sure they beat two times out of three that way but it won't win more than a handful of playoff series.

Rockets scored first four points, Warriors took lead at 7-6 at 8:01 of 1stQ - only lead change of game......there were no lead changes in Game One.
Dwight Howard fouled out......Rockets were outscored by 20 points when he was on the floor last night. (just don't see teams lining up to offer him more $$$ than the Rockets can) Klay Thompson lead Warriors with 20 points at halftime & finished with 34. In previous game Curry missed vs Rockets on Dec. 31, Thompson had 17 in 1st half, 38 for game. Warriors likely to sit Curry on Thursday & Sunday......want him playing thru mid June. Klay joking about playing without Steph: "So much easier when he's not out there, his man's always sagging in the paint...selfish teammate." @djjazzyjeff215 "Watching the game...I really and truly think I can play defense better than James Harden!!!" I've heard reports that JVG will return as the Rockets Head Coach next season: |

The question DJ Jazzy Jeff is, can you hit game winners better than James Harden? Creating that amount of space in that amount of time......absurd! Warriors lose a playoff game by a single point for the first time since April 28, 1992 at Seattle (128-129). Including playoffs, that was 8th time the Warriors were held under 100 points this season......GSW are 2-6 in those games (73-4 in others). Klay Thompson's playoff 3-point streak of 31-straight games ends. It was 2nd longest active streak behind Stephen Curry's 41-straight. Besides Howard, no one shot over 44% at halftime......even when the Rockets were up big, they shot horribly! Game 5 will be Wednesday at either 9:30 or 8:00 pm depending on other game 5's needed......speaking of (in my best Ester Role): "Damn Damn Damn, We've got to fly back to Oakland" |

That picture explains a lot about the Rockets season and Howard's carrier! I'm hoping that embarrassment somehow motivates them in Game 4 later today. Not necessarily to win, but to at least keep it a game. Golden State is the only team not to lose back-2-back games during the regular season, so Rockets winning today would really be something. Speaking of......last time Hornets won playoff game: 5/9/2002 vs NJ Nets: The OKC play calling during it's two wins in Dallas: Cuban speaking out about: The only two players in NBA history with 25,000+ points, 6,000+ assists, and 1,500+ steals: |

Seems they didn't want to have to go to Oakland. Its like duh, what do Rockets think? Losing in playoff series is how a team grows. You have to play your hardest even if the series itself is hopeless because that is how a team develops. Remember when OKC pushed 1st seed returning champion Lakers to six hard.fought games as an 8th seed in first round back in 2010? Sure Lakers went to win the championship but OKC hanging in a few games with the champs under a national spotlight grabed some attention and some respect for OKC. No one eas surprised when they made Finals two years later. Or when Warriors lost in second round to eventual champion Spur in 2014. That series is what elevated Dubs to legit contenders. If rockets gonna pout because they have to play GS again they missed the point of the playoffs entirely. Quote:

why were the rockets so bad in second half last night? They could have had a chance if they only wanted to win, it looked like they didn't care anymore ?
why was Harden sleeping during the 4th quarter? can't he even encourage his team mates in the field? I don't know the rockets though, perhaps it's normal for them

You are giving them way toooooo much credit......believe those guys already had vacation reservations starting today and they probably didn't pay for the cancellation insurance. Quote:
The Houston Rockets are reliably unreliable......tied at the end of the 1st Q and tied at half-time, Green's 3-pointers and then winning all the loose balls that lead to Klay Thompson's 3-pointers were the game-changers! GSW set the NBA record for threes in a playoff game, hitting 21-of-40 (.525) probably paid the biggest factor in their win over Houston. Excluding Curry, they were 20-of-32......simply amazing! The Warriors' 38 assists are the most in a playoff game since a franchise postseason record 40 assist game on 5/4/94 vs. Phoenix. Kerr on Curry: "I just feel so awful for him." MRI scheduled for today......at least Curry left the floor on his own......LeBitch caught a cramp and acted like his carrier was over. David Lee is out for the rest of the series. "He's in a (walking) boot," coach Rick Carlisle said. "That's never good." |

I know kerr wasn't talking shit. Cramps can shut down muscle functions even worse than an injury. Also i know kerr isn't talking shit when last season his boy klay Thompson dove into Kyrie knee.. kharma is a bitch likely that.
And yeah Heat overreacted to the cramp BUT what were they gonna do, just leave Lebron on the floor because with his muscles locked up like that only way off the floor was carrying or crawling. Haha if curry think he tougher than Lebron I'd like to see it. Lebron rolled his ankle in yesterday gametoo.. i didn't see him miss any games

That is one way to look at it......GWS defeating The Spurs three out of four times during the regular season says their luck was earned! Quote:
Win or lose, I do believe the above tried and true words will apply to the Charlotte Hornets. What a scrappy game, I know MJ is proud of them holding serve to tie the series. Thank You OKC |

I meant luckiest as in getting to play the lesser team while Curry is out. Also getting to play all the banged up teams last season. Listen its not disrespect to Dubs BUT sports is always about capitalizing on luck. No shame in that. Is what it is. And yes. Dubs just got very lucky. They playing Spurs minus Curry and its Spurs in 6

When the ball bounces your way you take advantage. You can be Michael Jordan and if it doesn't bounce your way it doesn't bounce your way.
Heat got lucky that Bosh got that rebound in Game 6. They also capitalized on it by Ray Allen making his shot and Lebron making big shots in OT. I ain't ashamed to saythere was some good luck involved even while of course arguing theHeat capitalized on their luck
