Cute picture, I've always wanted an orange kitty. Back your shit up with CDs! If you can't burn them yourself they're not too expensive at photo places (at my work it's $5.99 and you can fit about 200 pictures on a CD depending on how many megapixels your camera is. We do rolls to CD for $1.99 now too, which is a pretty sweet deal)

Hey, that is an imported cabbageworm (Pieris rapae L.)! I've spent a lot of time with these this summer, along with the other members of the cabbage caterpillar complex (diamondback moth and looper). I've seen larvae 3" long of these, all green and hairy (yuck). Feeds on cabbage-related crops - mustard and rape (probably), for sure in cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, etc. ^^^ pic is not from me btw |

From: http://www.vegedge.umn.edu/vegpest/c...p/cabbworm.htm
The imported cabbageworm (ICW), Artogeia rapae[=Pieris rapae (L.)] is commonly known as the cabbage butterfly. This butterfly was imported from Europe to Canada in the mid-1800s and has since spread to all parts of the continent Yup, there it is. They're common here too, even in the city where not much cabbage is to be found! They were fun to watch in cabbage fields, where you could follow them as they laid eggs, hopping from plant to plant |

While we're at it with insects, here are some pics of fields I had to deal with this summer. Veg as far as the eye can see!
