OK, Samedov off after 64 mins. He'll keep his clean sheet whatever happens and he was a hopeful buy at best for any more than that. I'll take 3, especially if Aljassam can nick something.
Really enjoyable game this. |

funny, im having a hard time getting into it. im looking at it like "both of these teams suck" ha ha. using it more for a tech test than anything. the app works okay but there's a bit of blur and even stutter on occasion. goes to show how attitude makes all the difference. but glad someone is having fun! |

It probably helps I had two players involved, but given how boring most opening games are, this one at least had goals, and some excellent ones, too. But not fooled by Russia's quality. Saudi were just awful. |

Here's the line-up for TEAM CRABCAKES!:
FW: A. JAHANBAKHSH (IRN); H. LOZANO (MEX); L. SUAREZ (URU) MID: A. GUARDADO (MEX); H. ZIYACH (MAR) (Captain); K. DE BRUYNE (BEL); L. SCHONE (DEN) DEF: H. MORENO (MEX); J. VERTONGHEN (BEL; T. ALDERWEIRELD (BEL) GK: B. JONES (AUS) Subs: CASSIO (BRA) N. TAGLIAFICO (ARG) D. SANCHEZ (COL) K. HONDA (JPN) Like I said before: selection criteria was that they had to ever play in Dutch competition. Was contemplating to change it after that, but totally forgot about it. So there you go. Probably a very lousy team, since I've got three Mexicans that will definitely loose from Germony and sorry for the CAPS, it's a direct copy/paste

I know it's a bore but it does raise the old - does football really benefit from Saudi Arabia being there over say Italy? I know, I know, but I can't pretend it isn't frustrating. Quote:
I really REALLY want Uruguay to go as far as possible. After England they're probably my '2nd team'. #ShamelessGodinAndSuarezWorship |

it’s frustrating as hell. if they had a decent team at least, inferior to italy but still good, you could say, in the name of fairness, okay, whatever.
but these poor people were lost on that pitch. now everyone will try to make up the goal difference so more spankings forthcoming uruguay is the little engine that could, yeah. would love to see them win. tabárez thinks they can. and cavani apparently has had a good year also? MARACANAZO IN MOSCOW XD on a totally different subject, let’s count the number of argentinian coaches in this tournament. this group alone has 2! (pizzi + hector cuper). wat. |

Salah will play according to the coach, so let's hope he's fully recovered. He did add something like "unless there are any last-minute changes"
Dutch TV is really promoting the Moroccan team, because there's about six of them born here. Especially Ziyech/Ziyach is raved upon. BIG TIME EDIT: this video has just been released. It's a clip of Dutch singer Ali B (the curly one) in promotion of Moroccan team. But featuring Dutch TV football icons like Van Gaal & Van Nistelrooij: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fkYIO6Iqcw (edit: this clip only has Van Gaal at the start and Sneijder at the end. On TV they showed also Van Nistelrooij)

nice first half, pleasantly surprised by egypt who looks well organized and with enough skill to match.
problem is they’re more organized in defense than in offense so game looks stuck at midfield. should they bring in mo it could destabilize things in their favor. uruguay a little better on the offense but not quite there. a couple of good tries and a nice run by godin but egyptians well placed and pretty solid so far to deny all. sorry on suarez’s miss which was the best chance but a tight angle. |

— and now “dat goalpost” lmao — o well it was a good chance and they took it I BLAME RAMOS. lol - stupid fuckinng foul on suarez plays into his hands — AAAAND it’s a game. and fair result. egypt should not be too desolate, they’re in a good position for 2nd place and only 1 goal down. |
