regardless of what we all might think personally about, against or in favor of Michael Jackson, his career and his music is unprecedented, and without parallel.. No one is more popular, both in america and across the world, with the exception perhaps of Bob Marley. Let us remember his legacy, of good pop music with substance, bad ass dance moves, and an all around entertaining career, even with many many obstacles and hindrances.. Nefs Igziar Yimareh! (God Bless his Soul!)

regardless of what will come, the commentary, and his own faults self imposed or not, he certainly could not be ignored, for better or worse he grabbed the headlines and took it to a level that is just out there
if the worst is true, nothing excuses it for sure, but, certainly, his upbringing, his beatings, his lifestyle made him a sort of Pinocchio in the face of the planet, question is who was pulling those strings, whether he was mental or just sheltered and those strings were just attached to reality or his handlers may never be truly known either way just the whole situation has a haunting feel to it, whatever anyone thinks of him, he certainly illicited a reaction and made people take notice, you couldn't ignore if this forum required a breathlizer, then fuck, spinning off the wall regardless |

I think it sucks that his personal issues have tainted his music for so many people. I do believe, as do a number of you here, that a person's personal life should not be considered when accessing the quality of their music, at least in most instances. I think Michael Jackson is an example of this unfair cross-assessment and it sucks that he will never have that chance to come back and redeem his pop credibility.

he was 96.7% space alien even before the nambla shit.
I honestly think it was the zombie dance in thriller. all those pounds of make-up hanging off his face made him finally feel free. fucking space aliens, man. they are inside our make-up. |

I didn't expect to see a whole lot of respect here, but some of the comments in this thread are kind of tasteless. Whether or not you like his music or think he was a pedo, we're talking about a man's (?) life here.
Michael Jackson was probably the closest thing pop music has had to an Elvis Presley (what do you want to bet there will be people thinking he's still alive for a while)...RIP
