where are all these alleged music snobs anyway? i don't think i've ever met one. i think the best way to piss them off is to know more about music than they do... which i probably do!

I'm telling you, if you hint that the band they like or are talking about sound even somewhat like creed....haysus cristos....it will be an indie death match |

-Tell them the VU was better with Nico.
-Insist that Ringo was the most talented Beatle How to annoy a metalhead (my personal favorite that I use all the time) -refer to "Dimebag" Darrell as "Douchebag" Darrell

I once told a metal head kid (who's 14-15) that Bon Jovi was dull and he smacked me on the back of the head. It's wierd that he really likes Bon Jovi, yet he has Sonic Youth songs on his Ipod.

Everytime I have saw the guy in the hallway, he was listening to Fall Out Boy out loud on his PSP. I also saw him and a friend listening to Panic at the Disco, so confronting him has been very tempting.

Confront him. You don't have to hit him. Just tell him to cut that shitty music off and threaten him in some way in case he doesn't.
(then hit him if you must) |

No, I don't want any violence to occur. I'm not that kind of a person

I also had an indie kid as a classmate (the kind who likes Death Cab and Modest Mouse). I once overheard her saying something about her mom hating P!ATD, but that the girl liked them. I was tempted to say something but chose not to, cause she's a nice person, and I don't want to be a complete ass.

Hah. Honestly, I wouldn't say anything either. I'd probably just ignore them. |

Just for the record, I don't think that anyone who listens to a band, no matter how obnoxious it might be, can be called a music snob. People who get thoroughly offended if you disagree are. What they listen to has nothing to do with it, really.
Although certain bands are more likely to have...certain fans. |

Haha, it could be Tyler, but he dropped out. Do you know his name? I look down on people like that if I don't know them. Robert L. is an exception; despite the fact thathe's obsessed with metallica, alice cooper, etc... he's a cool kid. We haven't seen him in AGES.
