Yeah, we looked at his self-portraits in our painting class, and though it's not new to me, it does act as a good reminder.
I do think I want to draw myself facing forward, rather than obscuring some part of my face, which just seems typical to me, especially when you're talking about a bunch of teenagers in a painting class. But I also want something more than just a headshot. So we'll see.

I look completely badass nowdays. The only thing that bothers me is that my hair has too much volume and looks like a tent.

I didn't read through all the pages here, and this may sound strange, but lighting makes a huge difference on appearance, and we cannot control it. Sometimes i think i'm alright looking, and pleased enough with my appearance, and sometimes, eek..maybe i'm too vain?

generally i feel ok about myself. i dont have any major things wrong but i guess that everyone can hate the way they look sometimes. there are certainly things that i can think that i would like more of or like less of.

I'm not hideous, but I could do without the acne.
I've been feeling rather photogenic the past few days: http://mwsu.facebook.com/album.php?a...51&id=57902884 |

Yeah, my comments about Mr. Close stem from the fact that he has been beating this horse for like 40+ years.
As far as the thread itself, i guess I'm as OK with my appearance now as I have ever been. I'm vain as hell and the fact that I could lose a few pounds gets on my nerves, but the constant biking and the new job have shown some improvement in that area which I hope continues. I have a slight bump in my nose that bugs me, but I wouldn't do anything about it surgically even if I had tons of extra cash. My hair doesn't behave all that well and I don't have a lot of hairstyle options, but I have learned how to do what I can with it via countless embarrassing phases. Fashion-wise, I enjoy myself a lot and I feel very comfortable with the look I have going on, even though I get a lot of good-natured ribbings about my fashion-victimness. I feel the most awkward when I have to look "normal" for a job interview or a square wedding or something like that. |
