It's very good, although a couple of the break-up tracks wrecked me and had me tearing up since I'm going through the break-up of an an 11 year relationship 2 months after buying a house together. But that's enough of my shyte life. The tracks here are far less repetitive than previous LP's, leaving the repetition to the meditation EP's - which are bollocks by the way - which is a surprising change of pace.

So, it's a teary eyed wank out of 10 from me. Amazing, however, I don't know if I'd like to listen to it ever again. Wey, I'll probably get pissed the mora' n' wack the cunt on.

To each their own, but Oranssi Pazuzu have never had anything to do with death metal. Just saying. With their last 3 albums, especially their latest masterpiece, they have steered away from black metal into unknown territories.

They've pretty much always been space Rock filed under the metal section for some reason. Aluk Todolo as well. Easily one of the best bands on Earth right now. I did like the treatment of the vocals better on their last album, where they were in the mix rather than on top of it, but that's a pretty minor issue in the overall picture.

Erm. The vocals are by sound and definition, death metal, no? The music is not, but when you have got some deplorable nutter so high in the mix the thing becomes counter-intuitive.
