If Memphis wins then samuel wins the bracket, if Kansas wins, I believe I will be victorious.
My mom went to grad school at Kansas - I've never been a fan really, but she finally worked me down. Plus it was obvious from the beginning of the year that this was the best team in the country. |

So what happens when either of us wins?
Just a pat on the back, I guess. |

wait... that's all? fuck this. Well, I guess there's always the bragging rights of knowing that you beat 9 other sonic youth fans in your basketball prediction abilities. Maybe we should have an awards ceremony. "I'd like to thank all of you who made this moment possible - like San Diego. That was the greatest pick I've made in years!" |

I'm already obliterated... When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide Where I stop and turn and I go for a ride Till I get to the bottom and I see you again Yeah, yeah, yeah Do you don't you want me to love you I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you Tell me tell me come on tell me the answer and you may be a lover but you ain't no dancer Go helter skelter helter skelter helter skelter Yeah, hu, hu I will you won't you want me to make you I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you Tell me tell me tell me the answer You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer Look out Helter skelter helter skelter helter skelter Yeah, hu, hu Look out cause here she comes When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide Where I stop and turn and I go for a ride Till I get to the bottom and I see you again Yeah, yeah, yeah Well will you won't you want me to make you I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you Tell me tell me tell me the answer You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer Look out Helter skelter helter skelter helter skelter Yeah, hu, Helter Skelter She's coming down fast Yes she is Yes she is coming down fast This year's tourney has been a rollercoaster for me. Imagine, if you will, my chagrin. In typical (we all know it well) par-for-the-course second-guessing fashion, my opening round upsets all shat the bed with extreme prejudice. As a result of the aforementioned buffoonery, I found myself placing tenth...in dead last place out of ten participants for the first few days of action. Then, wowee zowee, I shoot up to fourth. Then, second. And then, with all the final four picked correctly (in this historic year of all four number one seeds going to semis), and with the Fates fully smiling, I found myself at number one. (And for the second year in a row too...a tasty morsel indeed, haha). Take Me To The Top, baby! And then, of course, last Saturday night both of the teams I had picked (UCLA & UNC) lost...relegating me to second place. The Tigers win over the Bruins came as no real surprise to me, but I have the distinct predisposition to strongly affirm that if the Tarheels played the Jayhawks ten times, they would win at least seven of those times. Somehow the trip to San Antonio fucked them up; if the game had been in Charlotte, KU wouldn't have had all that much of a chance. Oh well...such are sour grapes. Go C.D-R., Go Rose, Go TIGERS! __________________ http://atari2600.muxtape.com/ http://soniclife.muxtape.com/ ^outlaw |

Not that it would neccesarily matter, but I think the wait between the Elite Eight and the Final Four is rediculous. I mean a 3 day restperiod and 3 days to scout would be cool, but like a week of nothing kills a team's momentum. They play the champioship after only a days rest, so why not the others? UNC and UCLA looked flat as shit and no, that's not to take anything away from Kansas and Memphis. That shit just always baffles me. I had a nice amount of correct picks, but obviously not the right ones. I'd like to see Memphis win, but I still say Kansas is too deep.

CD-R: Thou Shalt Not Miss Free Throws in the Final Seconds.
I thought this was over, but then Rose missed his penalty shots too. __________________ http://atari2600.muxtape.com/ http://soniclife.muxtape.com/ ^outlaw |

That has been their achilles heel all year long.
Kansas will not lose this in OT.

This has been one of the most exciting tournaments in my recent memory. Thanks a lot to krastian for setting up the pool. Maybe we can get more people next year. |
