I know you're talking about tobacco..but I quit smoking POT about 3 years ago. I was USED TO IT. HOOKED, yeah, but I REALLY enjoyed it. Then it became a truth serum...and I dwelled on the negative aspects of my life..not LALA land, so when it became UNfun...it was EASY to quit.
However, things aren't NEARLY as FUN as they used to be...the physical part was EASY..but the mental part..the "friend" of my partnership with POT was gone....I miss THAT. I miss being of the mental state to enjoy being high... I'm just glad POT didn't have the same physical addiction as tobacco...but hell, I AM mentally addicted, and want the joy I experienced while smoking POT to return. I just have to remain strong so I don't smoke again then face the heebie jeebies I got HIGH... Does that help? Probably not, but I wanted to share my experience with what I smoked and my quitting. I want to smoke again someday, if I can ever exorcise my demons !!!!!

it's rare but there are people like that. i knew one who would get physically aggressive when he had to face a night without anything. Obviously drugs affect different people differently so you might be ok, on the other hand its a recipe for disaster, by the time you hit your 30's what shape will you be in and what kind of amounts will you be needing to do to feel anything? You don't want to end up with some serious addictions. On the other hand you both make great art and seem fine so whatever the fuckit, i'm sure you'll be ok. I am not the person to talk to about this shit, i can't really ever get away with doing anymore drugs again, not that i'd want to.

I did that when I was about 10. The craic in school was that you could get high off tea bags. Problem was, rolling it using toilet paper and nearly burning me face off. Had to throw it out the bathroom window as me parents walked in. |

just remember it all starts with grass. Grass is the gateway to the harder drugs. Also remember alcohol is one of the hardest drugs out there. One can die from alcohol withdrawals yet one does not die from heroin/opiate withdrawals..

a friend of mine who is a bum gave me the number of some smoker's survey thing, apparently they ask you questions and give you a pack of cigarettes at the end, and once you've gone and completed 3 of the surveys you get $120
i hope everything is as appears with this because a hundred bucks and a bunch of cigarettes would kick ass |

such bullshit - the human brain is hardwired to enjoy consciousness enhancers. Humans have used them as as far back as recorded history goes. The Greeks with their Mysteries, the ancient Indians with Soma, the Egyptians with cocaine, the Chinese with hemp and opium, the Aztecs made a sick brew of spider and snake venoms and other deliriants. One can argue it is UNNATURAL to NOT to use consciousness enhancers. |

What's yr current smoking status? I'm two weeks off them. Feeling good about having stopped. I was a 25-30 a day man. Using 25 mg patches. I managed 8 months off them in 2009. This time, I think I've cracked it. It just feels right
