wow, exciting last few minutes.

ugly game, i blame the dutch team for it, and the best team won (sorry dutch boardies, you guys are great, but your team played dirty).

brand-new champion. holland stumped in their 3rd attempt, must be frustrating.

best players for me were iniesta and casillas-- casillas is a fucking hero.

robben played a great game too, until he ran out of gas in overtime.

Feel sorry for Pokkeherie but I'm glad it went to Spain. Holland were lucky not to be down to 8 or 9 players by the end. The better team one. Spain didn't play brilliantly tonight but I could never support Holland given the way they approached that game.

sorry Pokkeherie they tried they had their chances but Casillas was just to good. Spain defense was sloppier than any other game but Casillas was a wall. Mecklenberg was right there also took a busted play to beat him. I don't understand how you guys can call the game boring when you can cut the tension with a knife. I was on the end of my seat the whole game.

When English Premier league start?

what a boring fucking game. Germany would have made it such a better match. the 3rd place game was so much better.

way to pay for a 12th man out there Spain. I know you can sleep tonight because everyone in Fifa is fucking crooked, so the Champs might as well be.

I certainly didn't think the game was boring. I don't think either team played as well as they had previously in the tournament but it certainly wasn't dull.

Anyway, it's just been announced on the BBC that Forlan won the Golden Ball!

Oh, and Chicka, the Prem starts again on Aug 14th.

I was thinking the very same thing. I assume, like me, you were thinking of Casillas. Surely if anyone deserved it during this tournament it was him.

I also think it's ludicrous that it's decided preior to the final (a stupid idea highlighted when Zidane won it last time, ignoring his headbutt in the final). I'm glad Forlan won it but it's outrageous that Casillas never even got nominated.

Oh and good show in the Fantasy Football league! England could've done with you instead of Capello, I reckon.
