Yep..
Duckman lasted 4 seasons. I think Araki's Teenage Apolcapyse Trilogy as a whole is a masterpiece, should be Criterion re-released. My favorite films by him are Living End (9/10), Doom Generation (10/10), and Mysterious Skin (9/10). I love Araki. Jon Moritsugu is worth a look, if you like Araki. Fame Whore, Scumrock, Terminal USA, and Mod Fuck Explosion are extremely similiar to the Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy, but even more ridiculous. |

I just love those dirty, nasty, short, rough around the edges, brilliantly hilarious surreal indie films. TERMINAL USA is my favorite of his, it's so spot-on, just so... poignant. Just fucking funny as hell. MOD FUCK EXPLOSION is too good for words, really, that is the first one I saw many moons ago, too bad the dialogue is so low in the mix at times.. that girl in the wedding dress singing about eating shit through a flanger pedal in the bathttub is one of the best scenes ever, too bad you can't understand what she's saying.
SCUMROCK is somewhat of a retread of past efforts, but it has JAMES DUVALL in it! It also has a TV on the Radio guy in it, but who cares about that.. |

All his films except mod fuck are on netflix now I believe, they just put em up for instant watch a while back I think, though I have owned actual copies for a while. They're all like an hour long too.
FAME WHORE is a big influence on my films, specifically ME MYSELF AND MY THIRD EYE.. |

weird. I don't know. I just hated it. And I like to think I "get" the slasher genre, since I've seen hundreds upon hundreds of them numerous times. But yeah.

When I die, I want it to be because someone hates a film of mine, and I want my erect member to be inside the mouth of an intellectual, gothic whorebag at the time of the assassination.

Eh, you like what you like. You're just the only people I've ever seen who doesn't like it. I think it's probably the only horror parody I can stomach, let alone love. It's a lot more intelligent than the latest Chris Seaver shitfest or something.

Oh yeah, and then there's gotta be another intellectual, gothic whorebag spoon-feeding me Count Chocula while it happens. Preferably dying after all of the cereal is gone, and only milk remains.

Oh, I recently obtained the entire Mark Rappaport filmography. A quick scan reveals brilliant scene after brilliant scene. So far, I've only been able to investigate EXTERIOR NIGHT, but it's great.
8/10 Strange and exciting film. Can't wait to watch Chain Letters, looks very Jost-y. |

I really don't like horror comedy. I mean I can handle SOME comedy IN a horror movie, but... meh.

"The Funeral", underrated as hell. Chris Penn kills it.

I love the Funeral. Abel Ferrara is awesome in general though.

Second time watching this, I bought back in 2006 and just now watched it again last night. It been too long since my last viewing, I love this film immensely. I'm a huge fan of Björk and Lars Von Trier's work. I didn't cry at all the second time around, the first time it was waterworks galore. 10/10 |

Pretty cool film. I've seen all of Von Trier's work and I'm not too big of a fan. But that film stands out as quite an achievement.

Indeed it is, the storyline is so subtle, yet so unique in its delivery. Add the music and dancing, perfect. Top it of with anything with Peter Stormare is awesome too.
Did you like Dogville at all? |
