that manson book was one of themany I got for 5 finger discount back in the 80's.

Dance with the Devil: The Rolling Stones and their Times by Stanley Booth
Actually, it seems to be misnamed a little. The times it speaks of is only the year of 1969, specifically focusing on the tour that ended with Altamont. Still, it's a good trashy read.
