Is there enough Young/Zazeela/Maclise/Conrad out to spit out critique at all?Is there? No,there isn't,so there.

Some of us can read music, and music theory. Otherwise, you're entirely right.

Yes, I know the intent behind Young et al and The Skaters are probably poles apart but the resulting sound pushes similar buttons to me.
I am entirely sure about Casetteboy. I met them and there were two of them. One of them is called Mike and the other is called Simon although I think they sometimes call themselves something else. Their manager is called Barry but he's really called Paul. |

Fair enough, can't disagree with that. The reason I contested it is because I know someone who 'knew' casetteboy, and claimed it to be one person. My source is entirely unreliable, mind you.

Surely you mean 'life' rather than 'night'?

hey glice. just a note on aidan walsh.. this guyis a legend in the dublin music scene. he was brought up by christian brothers orphanage in cork. moved to dublin. set up a rehearsal studio in a shit hole called temple bar *this was before the area got trendy andit was a shithole). he founded temple lane studios which some rich cunt bought off him for £1! it is now a multi million euro multimedia centre in the heart of the most expensive area in dublin.
aidan made that album in 1987 with the aid of gavin friday and u2 and other irish musos who simply took the piss out of his good nature and made a joke out of him, aidan gets the joke, lives the joke and is a joke. long live aidan... by the way, he believes firmly that his mothr was an eagle and that he is the master of the universe and he will reincarnate himself as the almighty eagle someday. the dude is serious!!! he even made a self funded movie doc about himself!!!! this is aidan today here is this homepage...http://www.aidanwalsh.com/ glad u like the tape tho.... |

Side 1. 1.Pacific Serenaders - Beyond the Reef 2. Massed Pipes of the Scottish Regiments - Drum salute 3. Xasthur - Legion of Fire and Necromancy [Has vocals, albeit heavily reconfigured so they blend with the guitar] 4. Aphex Twin - Girl/Boy 5. The Ink Spots - Your Feet's Too Big 6. Patsy Cline - She's got you. 7. The Fall - Carry Bag Man 8. Erasure - Hideaway Side 2. 1. Elvis Presley - Hearbreak Hotel 2. Sizzla - Problem inna da system [Dancehall/ Ragga rather than hip-hop] 3. Abba - Mamma Mia 4. Herb Alpert - Los Tijuanas 5. Paul Robeson - Rockin' Chair 6. Mike Sumners - Wandrin' Star 7. Louis Armstrong - Stormy Weather 8. Hank Williams - When you're tired of breakin' others' hearts 9. The Carpenters - Goodbye to Love 10. Albert Ayler - Ghost (short vers.) 11. The Supremes - Baby Love 12. Bomb 20 - Flip Burgers or Die!!!! 13. Lolita Storm - I luv Speed 14. Hammond Party Time - There's no business (like show business) 15. Bhundu Boys - Shabini [Does have actual vocals] This was a purely vinyl tape, with an emphasis on charity shop finds. Hope you enjoyed, not too worried if you didn't. It is, upon reflection, the sort of thing I'd like to listen to but also very, very pop.

The reason you got two tapes is purely by accident. I shoved my tape in a random package because I panicked when there seemed to be an extra tape. I turned out the extra tape was for me, but I forgot to give it to myself. Thus, I recieved no tape in this round. :[ In regards to the tape, I can't even begin to remember what I put on it. |
